Born and raised in the First Spanish Free Methodist Church, Iymae Ruiz has lived a life serving others. Over the years she has worked in the children's ministry, video team, assisted with audio, participated and directed some aspects of Vacation Bible School, cleaned both the inside and outside of the church, and is currently a member of the worship team.

Outside of the Church she along with other members of the church have worked with Daybreak Shelter on a monthly basis since 2016 serving hot breakfast and preaching the Gospel to those who wanted to listen, and praying for those who wanted prayer. In one instance after the Merrimack Valley Gas Explosions she went to Walmart along with her brother and bought blankets, diapers, nonperishable food and other necessities, brought them to the Arlington school and for the rest of the day she stayed and helped wherever she could.

In the aspects of service, Iymae draws great inspiration from the story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10: 25-37). To her, being a good servant is having the willingness to give of yourself, stay humble, and not always getting credit, because the credit belongs to God and His Grace.
